Analytics loves to break up leftys and righties. What about tall and short?

2) Judge (Huge 6'7") RF
3) Durbin (Tiny 5'6") 2B
4) Stanton (Huge 6' 6") DH
5) Jazz (Medium Sized 5'11") 3B
6) TJ Rumsfeld (Huge 6'5") 1B
7) Volpe ( Tiny 5'9") SS
8) Wells (Normal 6"2 big for a catcher) C
9) Spencer Jones (Huge) 6'6" LF
I have never thought about this in just this way ... because it's crazy. But maybe just crazy enough to work?

That would be a real 3 outcome type lineup, maybe even set a strikeout record.

ReplyDeleteMaybe opposing pitchers would have difficulty with an alternately huge / tiny strike zone. It would be worth trying! Certainly better than whatever system they otherwise use to set the lineup...
