More important than Bellinger would be Burnes. A starting staff of Cole-Burnes-Rodon-Gil-Schmidt would be something. They could trade Stroman. OR...maybe keep Stroman as the number 5 guy, make Schmidt a set-up man. Top it off with Tanner Scott for the pen.
Pitching, pitching, pitching. If the Yanks just did that, they could ongepotchket the rest.
Exactly, Hoss. Burnes has to be next. Trade Stroman--hell, I'd trade Rodon if it were possible--and go with Cole Burnes Fried Gil Schmidt/Rodon. Scott would top it off.
Pitching is the key. Reliable, consistent pitching.

DeleteHAL thought he was getting SBF.
ReplyDeleteThat’s GREAT , Rufus! And it would solve so many of Hal’s money problems to have that expertise on the team
ReplyDeleteNice bounce back pivot. I’m all for us getting better and all it cost was Hal’s coin.
ReplyDeleteKeep it going. Bellinger can be had. He’s no Soto, but he’s no Verdugo either.
