Maybe Trump and his sons will take Jimmy's place at Habitat For Humanity and help build homes for the less fortunate. Maybe Cashman will start 5-year World Series victory run in 2025. Maybe I'll win the next Megamillions billion dollar jackpot.
Earlier in the week, there was talk that the Eagles would let the Giants win by pulling their starters so that the G-Men couldn't get Sanders or Cam Ward and have them haunt them two times a year for a decade. Of course, they'd rest their starters in the last game against any team to ensure that none of their top players get injured. Except they're in a bind due to Saquan Barkley needing 101 yards rushing to be the all-time rushing leader in a single season. It would be too bad to see any of their O-linemen suffering playoff-ending injuries (cough, cough) or Barkley himself going down.
Well, Giants should be able to get somebody great at No. 4. And are Sanders and Ward really that good? I really don't know; I don't follow football that closely (thought that may change), but are they really thought to be that great?
Horace, I don't follow college football but my son does to a decent extent and he claims those two are concensus "cant-miss" selections. Of course, we've heard that often and the road to Canton is paved with draft busts.

DeleteGiants can't do anything right...including tanking...
ReplyDeleteThe offensive outburst was amazing, even though it was offensive to those watching the draft picks. It warmed my Grinchian heart.
