I saw footage from the security camera at Jane's from yesterday afternoon, including Happy Hour. I'll be damned, Pete Hesgeth was pounding down martinis as fast as the bartender could make them. Next thing you know, some commenters will be confronted by hooded, masked ICE agents while walking their dogs.
Who the hell is Pablo Reyes? They're platooning him with Cabrera? Methinks it'd be better just to try to develop Cabrera's right handed swing. But that's just me.
The fact that they started Reyes over Peraza tells you how little they value Peraza. They should option him if he has no role, and if another team claims him, so be it. Let the poor bastard go.

Yes, the Yankees have a literal genius MIT Physicist, Lenny (who is the man), on payroll. He invented the “Torpedo” barrel. It brings more wood - and mass - to where you most often make contact as a hitter. The idea is to increase the number of “barrels” and decrease misses.

I guess they were right to get rid of Nestor

ReplyDeleteBoone seems to have figured out how to pick lead-off hitters.
ReplyDeleteGonna be a high scoring game.
ReplyDeleteBad throw by Volpe, but Goldschmidt waved at it like a little leaguer.
ReplyDeleteMore little league D
ReplyDeleteError on Fried as well. WTF

ReplyDeleteA GD GS for 99
ReplyDeleteSo much for my prediction that Judge would get off to a slow start. Two games, two homers. Actually, one game, plus three innings, two homers.
ReplyDeleteThey threw him two cookies though. He should've hit those, and he sure hit the hell out of them.
Volpe hit out to left field. Uh oh, watch for a big slump upcoming as he starts to pull off on everything.

ReplyDeleteHaiku Saturday for this one
ReplyDeleteIt was quite a game
It was a little sloppy,
But who can complain
I’m AA and I approve Saturday Haikus
DeleteBench Volpe! He's only batting. 250
ReplyDeleteWell that was fun. Maybe we should collectively vow to never watch another game and go out on top!
ReplyDeletePicked the wrong day to see an Opera
ReplyDeleteWas Enrico Palazzo singing?
DeleteI think it was Rodolfo Lassparri.
