Better to stay way

So I went to a vineyard in France for thirty days and escaped the immediate loss of Soto.

But there were leaks.  Judge was hitting over .400.  Yankee no names were giving us some productivity. We were playing better than .500 ball.   Another year to hope?

Then, I made the mistake of returning to the US.

And I turned on the tv in time for the first deluge last night, with the Yankees up 2-0.

Hours later, I saw Cashman's  major offseason acquisition, drown the team in walks. Who would ever have thought we would be pining for a return of El Chappo?

So, I witness the blowing of a 3-0 lead with two out in the eighth.  And there was no coming back.  This team cannot do that.

Nothing is working.

Time for a Bordeaux.

  1. I'm sorry, Alphonso. But drowning sorrows with wines from "Foreign Lands" has now been banned. And don't even think about tequila!

  2. Williams is the pestilence left out of the Bible. Cashman plays the pharaoh, his Yul Brynner head gleaming in the desert heat. Where is our Moses? It's not Boone. He's an idiot. But he has to use Devin because the pharaoh says so.

Meanwhile, Hal worships the golden calf on his yacht, still suffering from daddy's lack of attention --because it all went to the Yankees. Who he hates.

Expect 40 years in the wilderness and very expensive bottles of water.

    1. JM, I object to your use of Cashman with Yul Brynner's shaved head! Hell, Yul Brynner was a cool dude! The epitome of cool. Nothing like this fumbling, purblind idiot Cashman.

  3. Alphonso, my condolences! We couldn't hold the fort for you. Picture a feverish Jim Bowie, barricaded in his bedroom inside the Alamo, with a bowie knife and a horse pistol. And twelve Mexican troopers are battering down the door.

    2. I LOVED that part of the Davy Crockett "Alamo," Hammer! What a terrific pic, for a bloodthirsty, young American boy!

  5. Fonzie, what I want to know is what chateaux you visited.

...and did you bring back enough for everyone?

I got 2 1/2 cases back through JFK pre-911. A goal to strive for

  6. What do you think they talked about on that mound visit? "Make sure you break without stepping off the rubber?"

  8. They were just playing music at the stadium during the review which is the same Muzak some companies use as hold music . . . It was certainly a lame selection.
