  1. Rosario to IL, shoulder. Escarra back up. Why?

  2. “As for Rosario, he injured his non-throwing shoulder running into the outfield wall on Friday, but the sprain does not seem to be serious”

    1. Wondering why Escarra. We have enough LH catchers, no?

  3. Why even pitch to Altuve, with 2 outs bases empty. Not to mention a nothing fastball right down the middle

  4. Because he’s fully embraced being a Yankee, BTR. His training has finally started to kick in.

  5. Jasson is just too short to play left field

    1. The training staff should put Jasson on a rack and slowly stretch him out and make him taller

  6. Seems like Dominguez should’ve had that

  7. I don't know about the catch but it was the one handed bounce that went over his hand. Taller guy gets that. It seems to happen a lot.

  8. Boone hid during the old timers game and got ejected early in this one. Maybe he knows he's getting fired after today's game.

  9. Once again, the offense is offensive

  10. Game over.

Lately, Fried’s pitches all seem elevated. He’s not the same pitcher he was earlier in the season.

  11. Must have something to do with his blistering fastball.

    1. See I might have said fastball blistering - but Hinky - nicely played

  12. I think we've found our 6th inning trailing by four runs shutdown pitcher!!!!

  13. It so sad when not getting no-hit seems like a win.

  14. When do the Yankees rename themselves to the Rally Killers?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Speed never goes into a slump…

  16. No no-hitter! No shut-out! Today is now a success for these NY Yankees. Anything more is just icing on the cake.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The Yankees should give everyone in the stands a refund for this pathetic exhibition.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Are you kidding? Prices will probably double - fans are guaranteed to see one team pad their stats 81 times a year. And watch Manager for Life / Professional Idiot Aaron Boone chew gum & gesticulate wildly (& ineffectually) at least once a game. That’s entertainment!

  19. Do the Yankees have a rally in their bones?

    Lololololololol!

  20. This team is a pathetic excuse for a pathetic excuse.

  21. They are a damned good excuse for a drunken blog, though.

  22. Williams pitched a good inning! McMahon played a good third base!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Rivera didn’t rip his other Achilles!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Nobody projectile-vomited in the dugout!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I got lucky last night! uh-oh TMI

    1. BTR, remember -- there are two kinds of luck. Good luck, and the HAL/intern/bonehead kind. The second kind just pisses off juju gods.

  26. My apologies for Volpe not coming through with an error today.

Perhaps I need to charge my magic 8 ball..

Hal - if you're reading this please fire Boone, and Blake prior to tomorrow night's game.

Thank You for your cooperation, Citizen

  27. Another uplifting performance by the striped pins today. I was going to sign up for IPTV. Now I'm thinking my blood pressure and my liver don't need it.

  28. My sphincter is tired of the pummeling, as well. Difficult being a Yankee fan these days. Hard on all parts of the body.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Mr. bit, HAL and Pal aren't even kind enough to provide lube, just a little sand to make the experience more memorable.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I was going to add something about HAL/Pal/Bonehead being the three stooges, but that would be an insult to even Curly Joe.

Read somewhere today that Honus Wagner gave baseball tips to the high school team of one Moses Horwitz, aka Moe Howard. So the Three Stooges definitely had more baseball sense than the Yankees idiot triumvirate.

  31. I fear that tomorrow’s game thread is going to be very dark.

    2. No No No - that’s quite joyful and uplifting.

  32. It's easy to fix the Yankees. Add a tariff of 5 runs to each game when they allow the other team to play them.

  33. JM - How's the coffee where you are at ?
