Best not to ignore because, Rufus, if we all watch the games and infuse the money ment with our collective positive juju then….. we’ll likely win more games than we’ll lose throughout the rest of the season. Channel your inner mythical Vermont forest creature and make it so, get it done, whip it, whip it good ….son
Can anyone clarify why Caballero wasn’t awarded 2nd base on the third throw over? Was it because the pitcher was off the rubber? Bad job by Caballero getting thrown out after his attempted steal too. We had to put Stanton in RF.
I think so. Technically he didn’t disengage with the rubber (insert double entendre here), & I think the rule refers to disengagement, not throws. But that’s a guess.
Giancarlo Stanton might be baseball's Marcus Allen, at least in this respect- limited playing time in a few of his prime years staved off some wear and tear, giving him a little juice on the back end of his career, esp in a somewhat limited, carefully calibrated role. In Allen's case Al Davis' enmity turned him into a third down back for a few years before going to KC where he flourished as a red zone specialist/ touchdown scorer. It's been health with Stanton, but he's thriving in this occassional start/pinch hit role.

Home Runs continue ….
ReplyDeleteAnd Schlittler appears to be pitching well …..
ReplyDeleteWell, that's that, I guess.
ReplyDeleteBoone stealing outs again.
ReplyDeleteSchlittler had a great outing…
ReplyDeleteVery impressive
ReplyDeleteGrisham does it again…
ReplyDeleteGrishy, Grishy, Grish
ReplyDeleteAm I reading the box score correctly?
ReplyDeleteWho are these guys?
I jinxed it. Sorry, I'll go back to ignoring the game.

DeleteAnother blown save FFS…
ReplyDeleteThis never would’ve happened if Williams was closing.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA
DeleteCouldn't close it out against a .133 hitter.
ReplyDeleteJust put Stanton on second to start the inning. A no-brainer !
ReplyDeleteWait….
ReplyDeleteSTANTON !!!!!!
He’s been unreal since he came back.
ReplyDeleteWow Wells
ReplyDeleteWells did what Mickey Mantle couldn’t: he just hit the ball out of Yankee Stadium (south).
ReplyDeleteSo you're saying there's a chance?
ReplyDelete"Caballero to second on a disengagement violation" WTF is *that*?
ReplyDeleteThis is a farce.
ReplyDeleteI hate the new rules. But hey, great way to disrupt Judge's entire at-bat by having Caballero steal during it.
ReplyDeleteCorrection, Hoss: Cabellero getting awarded 2nd, having the award rescinded , & then getting thrown out, during it.
ReplyDeleteExciting Baseball with our best pitcher on the mound. There’s a run !
ReplyDeleteEveryone got their fresh servings of pineapples handy?
ReplyDeleteThis team needs to learn how to slide. There are fewer overslides going in feet first. Williams in, we are set up ro fail.
ReplyDeleteAnd here we go
ReplyDeleteThis game is totally nuts.
ReplyDeleteWilliams! OMG
ReplyDeleteWe’re losing this game aren’t we?
ReplyDeleteYou can’t put Williams in to pitch in a situation like this.
ReplyDeleteThe only question is will they lose without getting an out.
ReplyDeleteWilliams ! The best closer in the game*
ReplyDeleteSkunkies Win !
DeleteThat, I did not expect.
ReplyDeleteYankees Win!!!
ReplyDeleteNFW!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes FW
DeletePhew.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah: woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteWell, uh, I guess the uh Yankees...
ReplyDelete...sorta, kinda win.
ReplyDeleteUrgency
ReplyDeleteMaybe you CAN pitch Williams in a situation like that.
ReplyDeleteVery small sample size, but maybe?
DeletePittsburgh beats Toronto🤓

ReplyDeleteHe really should have been so I can not offer any assistance here…

DeleteGolly
DeleteThanks guys! Maybe we’ll clarification tomorrow.
DeleteLettuce it forget about Schlittler’s superior performance tonight.
ReplyDeleteThree Cheers for bringing the SCHLIT !

DeleteI haven't seen the score yet, but I'm getting the general idea.
