Re: Last night

Yeah, sure, Judge and Trout.

And Grisham, incredibly.

And Cab, incredibly.

And Skenes (Rufus is right, we have to nab him).

And Jackson and Alonso (we coulda had him).

Then there's Dotal and our bullpen.

And Warren (although no earned runs).

And Boone.

And Cashman.

And Hal.

We got lucky. Saw the highlights, have to watch the replay in 45 minutes.

And fuck the Red Sox.

  1. I forgot. Kay said the "rally in their bones" line last night. That goes on the negative side.

  2. Bully ball against a crap starter and a worse bullpen. Yanks own starter and bullpen couldn't hold them down. Should have been a laugher. Wasn't. Fun, and there will be a few more like it this year. That's who they are.

But facing a fundamentally sound, well-balanced, well-managed team whose pitchers are generally able to execute a well-known game plan against the Yankees? Yankees lose 7 or 8 out of ten times. Certainly 4 out of 5, and 5 out of 7.

There's more bad piching than good league wide, so this means they'll win 92 or so games. Then they'll lose early in the playoffs, when there's much less bad pitching. Same as it ever was, in the Cashman/Boone era.
