John Sterling, Il Maestro! Thank you for all the memories! Long may you warble in Heaven! God is a Yankee fan, so I'm sure he'll be well taken care of in the Big Ball Park in the Sky.
Just want to mention this again from the earlier thread. For the rest of the season... The Yankees should play, "The Yankees Win! Theeeeeee Yankees Win!" after every game where they do and then play New York, New York.

ReplyDeleteNice. Michael Kay with the “It is high …” call on Judge’s home run, then called it “A judging blast! Here comes the Judge” as Judge ran the bases.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely hate big head's announcing, but he does do a good job of recognizing the immortal master. And not the first time here.
DeleteStill hard to swallow
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there will be a public memorial service somewhere

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely - Remember how Jeter had Bob Sheppard's voice announce him on tape every time he came to bat?
DeleteI was today years old when I learned that John Sterling was part of the Knicks broadcasting crew when the Knicks won their last title in 1973.
