The cool thing is that this is an actual photo - unaltered, unadulterated and unvarnished - and it really captures a moment of truth and beauty. I hear that the photographer was named Godzilla and he had time to get off this one snap before Mothra flew up behind him and stole the camera. Luckily, Mothra took it to a Fotomat and the snapshot endured.
If the Yankees were Knicks-like, being down 5-0 after 2 wouldn’t seem problematic. But the Yankees aren’t Knicks-like. They’re the Yankees. So … guess it’s a World Cup night.
I hate high camera views of the game as in Toronto. They add to my feelings of futility as if the fence were half a mile away. But only for the Yankees.
