  2. The cool thing is that this is an actual photo - unaltered, unadulterated and unvarnished - and it really captures a moment of truth and beauty. I hear that the photographer was named Godzilla and he had time to get off this one snap before Mothra flew up behind him and stole the camera. Luckily, Mothra took it to a Fotomat and the snapshot endured.

    1. A tip of my cap to the great Mothra . . . . (whose great granddaughter Bitsy was my source for this photo)

  4. If the Yankees were Knicks-like, being down 5-0 after 2 wouldn’t seem problematic. But the Yankees aren’t Knicks-like. They’re the Yankees. So … guess it’s a World Cup night.

  5. I was going to say: remember in the distant, late 2010s, when five runs could easily be made up?

  6. I hate high camera views of the game as in Toronto. They add to my feelings of futility as if the fence were half a mile away. But only for the Yankees.

  7. Yankees 1 HIT. BJs 5 runs.

    A metaphor or something.

    Hoping to command electric stuff.
    All your life…
We are all still waiting for an outing that’s not rough."

    Sigh. I feel like Nostradougmas.
