Like I've said before, I'd keep Spencer Jones. If there is a next year, Jones should be the CF. Really don't care if he strikes out 250 times. Still better than Grisham.
I think both Jones & Dominguez are already better players than Grisham. But as soon as we get the walking wounded back, Jones will sit. Then Dominguez will sit because Cashman will get some 29 yr old former 1st round draft pick outfielder that plays average defense and hits .180.
Don't you get the feeling that the Yankees will need more than 4 runs to win this game? That happens, when you score 4 in the 1st inning and then can't add on, despite having runners in scoring position.
White Sox are another of those teams that have big time scoring. You can't stop scoring runs if you want to beat these guys. There is no lead big enough to be safe.
Blackburn turned out to be the wrong guy out of the pen. Soft throwing lefty might have been a lot better idea. If they lose this one, this'll be one of those that really piss you off.
Playing extras tonite. Yanks only 1-7 in extra frames. That's not small sample size. To have that bad a record in 8 games. You gotta be doing something wrong. A lot of it is fucking Boone.
Not exactly facing the best pitching staff in baseball to-nite. Yet never scored from the 2nd inning through the 10th inning. And the 10th inning, they even had the ghost runner to start the inning. Fucking pathetic.

I'll drink a Schlitz beer to that thought.
ReplyDeleteYou remember their marketing slogan, right? "Drinking Schlitz will give you the shits." Have some on your birthday tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteWhen I turn 93 ?
ReplyDeleteWhen you're out of bud, tough schlitz.
ReplyDeleteFirst half inning was ok.
ReplyDeleteJust before this game started, I was thinking how the Yanks no longer score runs in the 1st inning. Finally busted out tonite.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I like Spencer Jones. Almost killed the pitcher with a liner, just missed the guy's head.

ReplyDeleteThe Name That Yankee is simpler than an 8…
ReplyDeleteWells actually made a productive out, moved the runner to third.
ReplyDeleteGrisham is coming back down to earth, ain't he?
ReplyDeleteFailure to add on. Every run is an in-shurance run. Would be good to get as many runs as possible tonite, with Bednar probably unavailable.
ReplyDeleteCam needs to be yanked….
ReplyDeleteBoone, once again a batter too late.
ReplyDeleteI would've taken him out when he walked Murakami.
ReplyDeleteCruz escapes! Yankee bullpen has been pitching better and better as this season went on.
ReplyDeleteDon't you get the feeling that the Yankees will need more than 4 runs to win this game? That happens, when you score 4 in the 1st inning and then can't add on, despite having runners in scoring position.
ReplyDeleteWhite Sox playing better defense, pitching better now. You can almost feel the momentum shifting.
ReplyDeleteMeidroth is really becoming a pain in the ass. Those runs the Yankees failed to score are starting to look mighty big.
ReplyDeleteMariano spoiled us…
ReplyDeleteWow that was quick. There goes Cam's W.
ReplyDeletePineapples for every one!

ReplyDeleteBlackburn again for the 9th? Boone really wants to lose this one, eh?

ReplyDeleteSorry, 1-6 record. Still horrible.
DeleteYou were right the first time
DeleteOf course, Battlin' Bronx Bastards didn't score in the 10th. Here comes the loss....
ReplyDeleteJoe and Michael just pointed out how much of an idiot Boone is by the switches he made for the bottom of the 1Oth
ReplyDeleteWhole new meaning to throwing the game…
ReplyDeleteDon’t know how we got out of that mess…
ReplyDeleteFinally scored a fucking run
ReplyDeleteNot exactly facing the best pitching staff in baseball to-nite. Yet never scored from the 2nd inning through the 10th inning. And the 10th inning, they even had the ghost runner to start the inning. Fucking pathetic.
ReplyDeleteIncredible
ReplyDeleteHoly shit, Camilo Doval! Boone really wants to lose this one! I think Yarbrough is the much better bet.
ReplyDeleteBoone MUST have money on the White Sox tonight.
ReplyDeleteTwo bullets dodged! One more out needed! And it's fucking Benintendi.
ReplyDeleteFuck fuck fuck
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteYou can’t make this shit up. Unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteI agree HH
Delete(That’s me crying)
ReplyDeleteIt's better to lose a game 100-0 than to lose a game like this
ReplyDeleteYou’ve got to be freakin’ kidding me.
ReplyDeleteFucking Doval
ReplyDeleteAnd the Battlin' Bronx Bastards live to see the fucking 12th inning!
ReplyDeleteDodged another bullet….
ReplyDeleteFinally, a hit with a man in scoring position. but of course, he doesn't score, held at 3rd base.
ReplyDeleteYes, and why?
DeleteShame that we have to hit Schuermann in such a crucial AB
ReplyDeleteThe only thing Grisham does well is take his walks
ReplyDeleteBatting ..167 in July.
DeleteWhy Schuermann drop a bunt? Now watch Ricse k
ReplyDeleteCurse. you, BTR.
ReplyDeleteAs predictable as the sunrise.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fucking shit show. Fucking Ba-Boone strikes again with ridiculous substitutions. What the fuck?
ReplyDeleteAI…
DeleteFucking Ba-Boone
ReplyDeleteSurprise
ReplyDeleteSurprise
FUCK
ReplyDeleteThis team is a disgrace.
ReplyDeleteUgh, this team …..
ReplyDeleteThe crying Yankee fan child at the end of the broadcast was perfect
ReplyDeleteThe Sox ended it efficiently and quickly. That’s beyond anything the Yankees can do, with their AAA bench and awful hitting approach.
ReplyDeleteAnd bad game management
DeleteNot the outcome ecerybody thought. He was great. Heartburn gave it up and the pathetic offense left runners on.
