Cashman is the problem, but Judge really should keep his mouth shut sometimes

Great ballplayer, solid captain (I guess), but he does come out with some of the dumbest quotes in Yankeedom.

Looking like John Schuck a bit
Keefe ripped into him too, too hard, and the whole "New York, New York" thing is a massive Who Cares?, after all.

But if we take Judge at face value, he does show that maybe he's not the brightest bulb in the  league. Which is fine. Again, Who Cares?

Although, I have to say, I cracked up reading the end of Keefe's diatribe. Maybe Judge was just trying to encourage his teammates, but he thinks Boone is A-OK and we really need Volpe to be a winner. Yeah, sure.

Encouragement is good, but this is hysterical:

“He can be one of the greats in the game,” Judge said of Chisholm. “I think this will be a big year for him to take that next step.”

Chisholm had the worst season of his career.

“I think this will be a big year for him,” Judge said of Wells, “he’s really going to take that next step.”

Wells had the worst season of his career.

“I think there’s just so much more potential,” Judge said of McMahon. “I think what he’s about to do with the bat this year, he’s going to take off for us.”

McMahon had the worst season of his career.
