I know a young Yankee who swallowed some flies

I know a young Yankee who swallowed some flies,
Swarms from the skies, he swallowed some flies,

He swallowed the flies,
While throwing the pitch,
That eluded the catcher,
That allowed the run,
That cost the game,
That turned the series,
That screwed the manager,
And made Susyn cry,
Don’t know how long they’ll stay with the guy.
Maybe he’ll die...

I know an old owner that swallowed a season,
Don’t know the reason he wallowed all season…

He swallowed the season to make the bucks,
That paid the Rocket,
That replaced the Igawa,
That replaced the Pavano,
That was worse than The Unit,
That stressed the Mussina,
That bled the bullpen,
That included the Farnsworth,
That mirrored the Proctor,
That hurt the Rivera,
That forced the franchise
To bring up the Joba
That swallowed the flies,
Swarms from the skies, he swallowed the flies...
He swallowed the flies,
That cost the game,
That riled the owner,
That whined at the manager,
And made Susyn cry,
Don’t know how long we’ll stay with the guy.
Maybe he’ll die...

  1. Nice tune.

Is it possible that Joba ate some of those midges while we weren't looking?
