Think of it this way: We will have fresh pitchers for the playoffs

Let's start pondering our Playoff Rotation.

Game One: Phil Hughes. He'll have thrown barely 60 innings. Not only will he be strong, but the batters will have no book on him.

Game Two: Joba. He'll be into his 120th inning. Bringing him along slowly.

Game Three: Ian Kennedy. Back from Scranton, he'll be into his 100th inning. Nobody will have seen him twice.

Game Four: (If necessary) Chien-Ming Wang. He'll be back from rehab, in sharp form.

Game Five: (If necessary) 2008 Cy Young Award Winner Mike "Moose" Mussina.

Andy Pettitte can start Round 2! We'll have the first 6-man playoff rotation in history!

OMG! Wait... Rasner!

  1. The Yanks should trade for Roy Oswalt. He can hit with his eyes closed.

  2. Igawa?

    That's not realistic.

  3. Aren't you forgetting Carl Pavano?

He'll surely be ready for long relief.

He has been practicing for 3 years.
