It's the 3,400 Club. It consists of pitchers who have thrown more than 3,400 pitches in one season. "Anywhere from 15 to 61 percent of those in this 'club' deal with significant injury the following year."
C.C. Sabathia threw 3,912 pitches last year, topped only by Cole Hamels at 3,914.

Have him ready for Scranton by July 1.
Bring him up to the New Palace on August 1.
Don't let him cover any bunts. Don't let him try any pick-off moves until September.
Meanwhile, AJ should be getting out of the hospital by then, with his TJ surgery successfully completed.
I'm looking for a big year from these investments.
