Betrayal

Turkey enthusiast Miguel Cairo played in 257 games as a Yankee. The Bombers won 158 of them, for a winning percentage of .615.* But yesterday the Yankees allowed the World Champion Philadelphia Phillies to sign the free agent to a minor league contract. Because in The Bronx, apparently, every number counts except wins.

*UPDATE: Citation. Scroll down for Cairo.

  1. I'd heard he's eloped with Andruw Jones, so yeah.

  2. Who is betraying who? Cairo sucks, so I suppose the Yankees betrayed him? Because he didn't betray them by leaving, he did them a favor.

  4. I always liked Miggy. He wasn't as bad as Betemit.

  5. Cairo's a good role player. He came up with some big hits too. It would've been nice to see him this season. Betemit was a joke.
