Papi Uniform Clean Despite Dry Spell

Boston _ State Health Department officials (pictured right) display the tattered game jersey of star Redsock slugger David Ortiz, which was found Sunday after being left 63 days in a laundromat dryer, possibly with the slugger inside. "All considered, the fabric held up well," said a spokeman for the department. "There are a few spots that might be Papi. We're just not sure." A local lab will conduct DNA tests on matter found in and around the jersey. Unfortunately, some of Ortiz remains might have been accidentally ingested by workers. "The poor fellow thought it was a raisin," the spokesman said. "He should have known better. Raisins don't have beards."
