If we get seven second warbles every win, where do we go from there? I mean every idiot on the street knows the human body is not capable of warbling beyond 8 seconds. Perhaps we should just create a robot that can warble for minutes on end, never pushing its limits, never fighting for the air needed for that extra half-second...
So. To summarize. You voted that John's election was fair and untarnished by corrupt electioneering, then you voted to uphold the asterisk. I used to have a girlfriend like you.
After the game John refused to award the [sponser]'s Defensive Play of the Game because he felt none of the plays were that great. Makes sense, John has never been one to let the sponsers dictate how he calls a game.

ReplyDeleteHaha, his Tiananmen like refusal really did happen though. Made the sales pitch for whatever hotdog company sponsers it, just felt like no one deserved it today. Second part, not so true.

ReplyDeleteI commented on the game in more detail in the last post, but one thing I really took away from today was a real enthuasim in The Voice. He repeatedly talked about how exciting(!) the game was when it was pretty clear from the start that it was going to be a match up of two great offenses and a bunch of really crappy pitchers, with the final score destined to finish 8-6 or 11-7 one way or another. Melky's shot was no doubt great but for the most part it was a slow game with few moments (even Tex's double to tie it seemed more luck than anything). My point is not, however, that it was a poor game but rather that Sterling seems have broken out of the rut caused by too many walk-offs in too short a time. The man is human, people. ReplyDeleteWhat made me laugh was his insistence that Cruz' home run went several rows into the seats beyond the left field bullpen. Replay clearly shows the ball bouncing IN the bullpen. LOL!!
