Redsocks looking to improve in 2010!

With a wave of rising young stars and a roster of accomplished players, anticipation for 2010 is already building across the Redsock Nation.

Moments after the team was eliminated from the 2009 playoffs, hopeful Redsock fans -- showing the understanding and sensibilities for which they are internationally known -- began discussing how they'll enjoy the offseason, sporting their new, proud cap.
Pitchers and catchers, Feb. 15th! Already, the questions are starting: Who'll be opening day pitcher? Dice K, Josh, or Jon? Can Big Papi come back? (You KNOW he will.) How about that Youk! And 'Coby in center!

    Hey, what's with the insults? I thought this was a supportive post! Just think, the Red Socks get to start their Hot Stove season right now! Let's help them out.

    Do you think Alex Gonzalez is the answer at Short? They've been looking for someone to fill that SS position for a long time. I don't think that Gonzales is caucasian enough for them, but Nick Green wasn't really getting the job done.

    Do they give Captain C-Chest another 1-year deal to hit .209 and play 1 game every 2 weeks? After all, he's a Leader and can Handle the staff. Maybe they can just sign the gigantic "C" he wears to combat his own inadequacies.

    How lucky for them that they get to have a head start on 2010!

    Opus, you're absolutely right. If I thought people were going to use the thread to taunt people, rather than discuss next year's lineup, I wouldn't have posted.

    Way I see it, the key is the bullpen. They need Manny Delacarmen to return to early season form. I predict he will, but maybe that's just me. What do you folks think?

    Man these comments on extrabases are priceless. Calling for Francona's head, Papelbon needs to be traded, Theo needs the axe, and the best:
