Letter to the Editor: World at War: Florida

The Stuart News/Port St. Lucie News (Stuart, Florida)
December 8, 2009 Tuesday

Dear Editor,

I happen to be a Red Sox fan. Yankees fans wear blinders.

Other sports have salary caps, not baseball. Have Yankees fans ever noticed how competitive basketball and football are? Maybe not. What chance does Washington, Seattle, Pittsburgh and other teams have without a salary cap?

Have you ever heard of Kansas City outbidding the Yankees or Red Sox for a free-agent superstar? Would you put a pro football team against a college team? In any sport?

  2. Isn't the Washington Redskins the second most valuable football franchise? So what's the Nationals excuse then?
