Bud Selig's global warming

Baseball's $16.5 million-per year Commissioner says he likes the idea of a true World Series between the best teams from U.S. and Japan.
.
It will be good for baseball and mean more revenue for MLB.
.
And if there's one thing every baseball fan in America knows, the more money MLB makes, the better for everyone -- especially us fans!
.
So let's see, if Rug's -- I mean Bud's plan was in effect last year, we would have won the World Series over the Phillies, but delayed our Canyon of Heroes bash, because the Earth Series would be next!
.
That would have started around Nov. 10. Home and away? No way. We'd have played in southern cities or domes -- you know, those stadiums that get torn down after 15 years because fans hate them. At least three should be in Japan, so that would mean several off-days for travel. .
America would have a new Thanksgiving Day tradition!
.
Viewers on Fox will switch from the patriotic halftime show in Dallas directly to Game Seven... live from Dubai!
.
If we win -- no certainty there (See: Little League World Series, 1990s, featuring super-expanded teams from Taiwain) -- our parade along the Canyon of Heroes could have started Dec. 1.
.
C.C. Sabathia could have led the city's tree-lighting ceremony.
.
Sixteen-point-five million dollars, folks.
