LOL, Maris in the Hall (then again, LOL, Jim Rice in the Hall...). While he had two great years, his peak was way too short and a bunch of his contemporaries, Mickey Mantle among them, blew him away in comparison.
Oh and his postseason numbers seem lacking. I suspect he would have gotten booed like A-Rod.

Yeah, all those other dozens of Yankees in the Hall of Fame only got in because they lied and said they played for the Giants.
ReplyDeleteLittle know fact. Joe D almost wasn't elected to the Hall of Fame until he reminded voters that he once played for the San Francisco Seals.
