In "Rivalry Week," Boston gets Philadelphia?

We take on the Mets, who have only one reason left to live - beating the Yankees.

And Boston plays... Philly?

That's their rivalry?

Why... because of Papebon? Did I miss something?

  1. I think this rivalry goes back to Ben Franklin putting the make on John Adams' niece, Felicity. Or maybe it was his wife, I forget...it was a long time ago.

The Phillies are at a disadvantage here, since they pitching staff is grieving over the fact that they can't throw at Youk's head during the series. Pedroia's head is a tempting target, sure, but as we all know, it's just not the same.

Watch for the fireworks, nonetheless. The Adams family has a long memory, and they still hold significant sway in the Boston area. That's why the Sox have Lurch as DH.
