Superb, because we don't have any real starters. Joe will do bullpen/closer by committee starting inning one on opening day. No Yankee pitcher will hurl more than 3 consecutive innings during the entire 2015 season. Joe will take credit for revolutionizing the game, and Tanaka will be ever so polite about the arrangement.
Last winter, one thing we had was a speedy lefty-hitting center fielder with excellent D and not much power. So what did we do? We dropped a boatload of money on another speedy lefty-hitting center fielder with excellent D and not much power. This winter, we already have a spectacular set-up reliever. So what do we do? We concentrate on signing another one of those. I hope we re-sign Robertson so at least I can hear John talk about "The Troika" again.

He's a little taller than Luis Arroyo, no? Drinks less than Ryne Duren?
ReplyDeleteBoth and we probably don't even need any starters.

ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, I'm Anonymous' good twin. I rarely reveal myself.
ReplyDeleteWe will not keep Robbie.
ReplyDeleteWe will just suck.
Yanks will score record low of 1.2 runs per game over the season.
