My cousin seems to think it was a good trade, my dad thinks they gave up too much. Seems pretty split around here. I won't know exactly how I feel about it until i hear some reassurance or some doom and gloom from John and Suzyn. These guys however can kick rocks. What's wrong with them declaring a trade a win two minutes after it happened. Thats John level of jinx. Forget Sonny pitching like shit or injuring himself, they just guaranteed his plane will crash on the flight over here and the three of our former guys will be hall of famers.

I hope you're all right, and I'm wrong. I just we paid a hellova price for a guy who is very brittle and still unproven. We have a history of obtaining pitchers just like him, and it seldom turns out well.
We still have talent in our system - if Andujar or Sheffield had gone, I'd have been really pissed. But in the coming days, I suspect we will be hearing often how none of the players we traded really had much future with the Yankees, so it's no great loss. I don't buy that. We gave up a shit-ton of talent. Someday, we could be looking back on this deal and wanting to cry.
