On The Biggest Travel Day of The Year......

I wish you all a safe journey.

Without your fellowship, the Yankees would be just another stop on the train.

I hope you each have this on the  morrow:

And if there are those who don't like turkey, eat the stuffing and inhale the pie.

Drink the wine.

Toast your comrades.

Have a great day and a better off season.

Chekov's " dark winter" does not begin today.

Love to all.

  1. It's going to be cold in upstate New York, where I'm heading today and where Duque insists on living year-round.

Alphonso, may your day be merry and bright, and may all your turkey meat be white. Except for the drumsticks. Of course.

  2. My only wish is that we don’t have turkey during the baseball season, if you know what I mean. .

  6. Carl,

Try the Tofurken! It's Tofu stuffed into a Quorn cutlet, stuffed into a Tofurkey and then placed in a pumpkin.

OK I made that up but Beyond Meat makes a really meat substitutions. heir burger is VERY good (relative to what it is). Sadly no one can make a good hot dog.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

  7. Yikes. That was missing a lot of letters.

Makes really good meat substitutes. Their burger... I even left out the K in Doug K.

I must be tired of kitchen drudgery.

  9. Doug...I actually had a Gardein "Holiday Roast" which in my opinion is better than a Tofurkey. .
I have had some Beyond Meat products and they are decent. But the best is the Impossible Burger which is served at some burger chains and restaurants nationwide as well as independent, local establishments. Even at White Castle (or as my stunned date once found out after telling her I was bringing her to a fine French restaurant, "Chateau Le Blanc"). It looks, smells and even "bleeds" like a real hamburger. It's on the expensive side but worth the price. Perhaps one day soon they will set it at Yankee Stadium for the modest price of
    $ 50.00.
