Random thought about brown-nosing Yankee sites

I see bloggers and writers praising the Yankees for not signing Manny Machado and Bryce Harper, saying the team has avoided terrible future problems.

But I can't help but think that - had the Yankees signed either or both players - these same voices would be joyously celebrating the moves, and touting the super-team of 2019.

  1. They are just guarding their privileges and perks. They are meaningless. Brown noses, indeed. Randy Levine is blowing wet farts into their nostrils.

  2. I like this site best. I do go to sites that provide "happened today" news coverage. I don't expect that from IIH.

For example: I read the following on NJ.com just now, re what's gonna happen (or not-happen) with Ellsburger --

"But they’re reportedly making approximately 75 percent of their money back on his contract via an insurance policy as long as he can’t play. If they cut him, owner Hal Steinbrenner would be on the hook for his entire contract."

Therefore: They'll use a roster spot to carry him, disabled or not......right?

  3. He's not called "food stamps Hal" for nothing, Joe.

Clip those coupons, save those pennies. You worked hard for them, Hal, and we know you're living paycheck to paycheck over there in whichever mansion you happen to be in this week.

  5. What a bunch of clowns. I never read other baseball blogs anymore for precisely the kind of thing Duque points out.

    Charlatans.
