Where things stand, heading into this winter

 Talkin' Golden Snowball, of course. 

Perennial bliz-champ Syracuse sits right where we should be, tail-gating Rochester. Binghamton won't repeat, and Buffalo is all Mafia, no Bills.

    I think this might be NYC's first snow-less winter since some time in the Cretaceous.

    While out here in LaLaLand, it hasn't stopped raining since early last week.

    Snow pack way above average in the Sierra, should fill the reservoirs come spring.

    Ah, spring. I remember when I used to look forward to you. Now I only see more pain on the horizon.
