Mr. Manfred, where is my improvement?

You said it, sir. Just yesterday, I believe:

"WE WORKED HARD TO REACH AN AGREEMENT AND OFFERED A FAIR DEAL WITH SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE PLAYERS AND OUR FANS."

Well, where are they, Commissioner?

I'm sure the player got something, or there would not be a settlement.

What are the SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS for the fans? Could it be you were just blowing smoke up our Waslewskis? No?

Let's see it, then. Exactly what SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT do we fans get in this agreement? Lower prices? Better play? A more enjoyable ballpark experience?

What?

We wait to hear with baited bile.

  1. We get to watch the Yankees set the record for consecutive wild card appearances

  2. We get to watch the Yankees come in second in the Freddie Freeman auction.

  3. With the bump in the salary cap threshold, we now have space to resign Gardy without exceeding it.

  4. Horace, what did you expect? It is all about the denaros and never the fans. Some of the changes made, including nine innings and no ghost runner, will improve the game. They always wait a year. They could have banned the shift for 2022.

  5. Maybe they expanded the commercial breaks and think the fans will have more time to go grab a drink and hit the head.

To these clowns, that's an improvement.
