Horace just got a one day senior citizen internship with the Yankees. He will be there early tomorrow before the game scuffing up the baseballs for Gerrit Cole.
I woke up this morning and noticed something that made the blood coarse thru my veins and make me feel that life was worth living, and no, it was not this picture of two of my former "interns."
It was the Yanks, firmly in 1st and the BoSox in last. For one brief shining moment, all is right with the world.
I was watching the pregame on YES the other day and it had Gallo taking BP, showing he was ready to play again. I was really expecting him to swing and miss even in BP.
What are you suggesting, Dauntless Leader? Trying to hit the pitch you're actually thrown, instead of your favorite, fantasy, dying fastball that can be golfed into the upper deck?

By three what, exactly?
ReplyDeleteI'm pre-empting all you people right now: Joey Gallo is a fucking useless turd-filled fuckface fuck.

ReplyDeleteOnly if he gets to lick the top secret mud off of all the rubbed up mlb balls?
ReplyDeleteGood luck Horace. Do not count on Joey K. or Barren Hicks to help.
ReplyDeleteI'm already panting.

Horace, don't get your hopes up.
ReplyDeleteFormer Yankee MILBer, Glenn Otto, will start and beat us tonight.
Traded for Gallo. [I think.]
Let the trip through Dante's Inferno begin
I know. And yes, sadly Archie, it probably will be just one shining moment. Still, we can dream, can't we?

ReplyDeleteI watched him swing and miss in a "big" at bat against Toronto ( wended more than his solo HR ).
ReplyDeleteThe ball from the pitcher came in flat horizontal, and Gallo swung at a 45 degree angle.
He can never hit the ball that way.

ReplyDeleteFor shame! That's not baseball.
