He's OK in the studio because he understands the game. Speaking extemporaneously under the pressure of being a color man was not a good use of his knowledge.
I really enjoy watching Cortez pitch. Those weird, funky hesitations he throws in are so much fun. ... Of course, if he was getting lit up, I wouldn't like them nearly as much.
The thing about Marwin Gonzalez is that he's supposedly so valuable because he can play so many positions. At this point in his career, though, that just means he plays a lot of positions badly.
The Fenway fans screaming disapproval when the call got overturned ... did they bother to look at the replay? It was clear as day that he missed the base. That was an easy overturn.
We are getting sooooooo lucky tonight. Boston is fucking everything up. I mean, how does a Major League ballplayer miss first base??? How do a Major League team give up a Little League home run, like the Sox gave to Gleyber tonight? It's obvious why the Red Sox are a last-place team.
Can it be…that we are actually turning the corner? 8-2 in our last 10. Then again, the Sox really look bad. And by bad, I mean awful. Day off tomorrow, Then who knows what the fuck in Milwaukee.

Fucking incredible, but not unexpected.
ReplyDeleteHe ain't gone yet....
ReplyDeleteYES has no idea what to do with Beltran, so they've thrown him on the pregame. He still sucks, maybe a little less.

ReplyDeleteThe guy who has been MIA is Perraza. He had a three hit game the last time they let him play.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I can think of is that he came up too late to be in the playoffs so the priority is to give at bats to the "regulars"
Stantonian looking
ReplyDeleteNice at bat by Gleyber - Donaldson has lost his mind
ReplyDeleteSenility setting in. Poor guy.
ReplyDeleteNestor good - IKF with that nice grab to bring us back to bat - HICKS!
ReplyDeleteFans masquerading as empty seats…
ReplyDelete“I should have the vote” -John Sterling explaining what is wrong with MVP voting.
ReplyDelete“And Suzyn too” when he remembered she was there.

ReplyDeleteStanton is moving his feet again
ReplyDeleteBosox clown show.
ReplyDeleteGleyber gets a ...homer? Ish?
ReplyDeleteA Little League homer for Gleyber. ... It's so much fun when the Red Sox suck.
ReplyDeleteThat was pathetic on the Sox's part. Holy cow.
ReplyDeletePathetic carmines = joy.
ReplyDeleteLousy throw by Hicks.
ReplyDeleteCabrera's spoiled me.
ReplyDeleteThat was fun.
ReplyDeleteHicksie's throw home was juuuuuuuuuuuuust a bit outside.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy watching Cortez pitch. Those weird, funky hesitations he throws in are so much fun. ... Of course, if he was getting lit up, I wouldn't like them nearly as much.
ReplyDeleteTrevino, nice double off the monster.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Cortes is fun and fast, too. No dawdling.
ReplyDeleteThe Clark Schmidt Show was really good tonight.
ReplyDeleteYes, very good JM. But the little league 3-run Homer? That was priceless!
ReplyDeleteNestor was excellent. Giancarlo looks completely confused at the plate. I hear Giancarlo once had a really really good season. Once.
ReplyDeleteEllsbury factoid shown by Yes. He still played for the Yankees in 2017? Is that true? Cone was amazed too.
ReplyDeleteuh oh Devers
ReplyDeleteGonzales is not a first baseman.
ReplyDeleteHow many cheap hits does Lasagna give up before the big one?
ReplyDeleteMarwin Gonzalez doing his best Bill Buckner tribute in Fenway Park
ReplyDeleteThey’ve got to overturn that
ReplyDeleteThe thing about Marwin Gonzalez is that he's supposedly so valuable because he can play so many positions. At this point in his career, though, that just means he plays a lot of positions badly.
ReplyDeletePlease. Let Lasagna throw some more batting practice. Please Boone.
ReplyDeletePlease.
ReplyDeleteRizzo….Rizzo…Rizzo?
ReplyDeleteWin, those were a lot of cheap hits.
ReplyDeleteHoly Fucking Misaligned Universe Batman!! A challenge went our way???
ReplyDeleteIt looked like Cabrera should have caught that bloop and Marwin…
ReplyDeleteI know those hits weren't booming, Dick, but Lasagna wasn't getting any swings and misses.
ReplyDeleteMarwin has hands like a bucket full of bricks.
ReplyDeleteThe Fenway fans screaming disapproval when the call got overturned ... did they bother to look at the replay? It was clear as day that he missed the base. That was an easy overturn.

Senor Sombrero gets a gift double.
ReplyDeleteAnd Abraham Almonte doing his best Aaron Hicks impression in center field for the Sox.
ReplyDeleteHow in the world does a guy get a LL homer in the schoolyard?
ReplyDeleteWhat's it called when a player strikes out 5 times in a game? Asking for a gigantic glass friend.
ReplyDeleteWow. Almonds looks like Greg Luzinski out there
ReplyDeleteWow, the Sux really really sux.
ReplyDeleteBoston actually sucks! As in, they are not good.
ReplyDeleteAlmonte is not a center fielder.
ReplyDeleteBoston is the new Baltimore
ReplyDeleteLooks like a clown out there.
ReplyDeleteRed Sux handing the game to us on a silver platter…
ReplyDeleteCrimson platter, maybe.
ReplyDeleteThis is not the Holmes you're looking for.
ReplyDeleteBut the town has no need to be nervous.
ReplyDeleteYankees Win!!!
ReplyDeleteGood
ReplyDeleteAs Cone said, nice adjustment by Holmes.
ReplyDeleteThihuhuh-yuhyuhyuh-uuhuuhuuhuuh! Uh! Yankees win win!!!
ReplyDeleteTwo fine warbles tonight
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed it; sounds like a fine shit show, in our favor. But...back in time for highlights!
ReplyDeleteAh, no season is too bad when we're 18 up on the Sox. Heh heh heh heh.
Can it be…that we are actually turning the corner? 8-2 in our last 10.
ReplyDeleteThen again, the Sox really look bad. And by bad, I mean awful.
Day off tomorrow, Then who knows what the fuck in Milwaukee.
YES 999 - we are right - super tight - AOK - we’re OK
ReplyDeleteI like DAVID CONE - give me three of those with Kay any day
ReplyDelete"Fenway Fickle"?
ReplyDeleteHighlights were a lot of fun—but yes, who knows with this team anymore?
Brew Crew has some good pitchers, not much of a lineup. Yeah, we'll see!
