How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Part III

This was from reporting on the internet. Here, Cashman compares Judge to a dancer and someone flying a plane. Elsewhere, he said he was driving a car, or a bus, and he hoped the bus "would make many more stops in the Bronx."

Sort of a "Flying Dutchman" sort of fate he envisions for our Judge, making endless stops through Morrisania, and on the Grand Concourse. But of course, the real idea is just to talk fast enough that people can't call you on the lies.

“I can tell you I had a conversation with his agent...’’ Cashman said Monday evening, “We’re still talking. It’s his dance card. He’s a free agent and he has a chance to make decisions for him and his family. I can tell you we are negotiating hard. ...

“He’s earned the right to go through the process. Certainly, we’d love to land the plane favorably here in New York, but we’re not flying the plane. So we’ll wait for this process to play out.”

  5. Then Heyman retracted the tweet, and apologized. Still, doesn't look good.

  7. From the most trusted source, Jack Curry;

    “The Judge camp has spoken internally about hoping that the negotiations for a new contract will be done soon. The Yankees described today as a frenzied day, but also say they believe that no final decision has been made.”

    Other sources have put the SFG offer at a later 40M over 9 years .

  8. If Judge signs on with any team other than the Yankees - then what will happen to that deep relationship between Rizzo and Judge?

    And listening to Boone today answer some questions from the press was painful to listen to. Not the sharpest pencil in the box, that man.

  9. Heyman was probably happy to delete the tweet, seeing that he called him "Arson Judge"

  11. Hal is NOT in it to win. He's in it to make money. There's a big difference.

  12. I'm getting tired of listening to Micheal Kay and his sycophants on TMKS keep making stupid excuses for the Yanks not signing Judge. (if it happens!!) How is it that the money would be too much for Hal but NOT for SF??? How is it that the NYY after signing Judge will not have much money to sign others but SF will? He was right that Hal HAS to resign him or at least offer the same amount. If they off the same and Judge still leaves, then Judge has been a phony, greedy jerk. If they don't offer at LEAST as much, than Hal is a cheapskate and I stop watching. (After 60 years!!!!) Otherwise, this has been an interesting game. I can't remember a similar FA signing with NY even similar. (Maybe Bernie in 98) In fact, Hal has to offer more or the fans will go nuts.
