I do think we need to reconsider LeMahieu’s role with the team. Also, Volpe is playing his way back to Scranton. But bravo Vásquez. We are in a bizarro world right now where German, Schmidt and Vásquez are the dependable starters and we shudder when Cole, Severino and Cortes toe the rubber. (Sorry, don’t want to trigger anyone by mentioning toes) Rodon? Who he?
Gotta beat that next piece of laundry coming in this weekend.
Yes, let's have racist rants on this blog. Racism is of course the root of all evil in the world, including Florial's inability to see and hit breaking balls. Being of Italian descent I understand. Always being asked to dunk a basketball, see me sprinting, high jump by Scandinavians, Germans, and other White (hate) groups. So demeaning... Thing is, my gardening is second to none.
The food was actually quite good. Family name was actually Corleone. Went as part of US Open tennis, when my brother was still with his tennis pro wife. The Bronx invitational was a feeder to the actual open. We ate nearby. It was a desolate neighborhood with the old Italian section fighting to stay alive. Doubt the place or the neighborhood still exists as it was.

I heard Ken Harrelson claimed that Jackson Frasier asked for #35 on the White Sox, but had to subsequently change his name.

ReplyDeleteI haven't been there, but did go to Corleone's in the Bronx many years ago.
Their food was to die for.

ReplyDeleteMissed the good game, of course. But just to clarify for MJ:
ReplyDeleteI wasn't referring to you about politics—that was directed to "Rugged," as I wrote.
I appreciated your comment, I was just clarifying that I didn't feel fear about this, only rage. For all the good that will do.
Was anyone left in the Stadium at the end of the doubleheader?
ReplyDeleteGrateful for the win.

Yes, HC - there were some lung butter sufferers left in the stands
ReplyDeleteCommander Cody, upstate NY guy. But Phil Harris did it long before. Both excellent.
ReplyDeleteRufus, was the Italian food any good there?

ReplyDeleteEBD,
ReplyDeleteAre you HC66's love child?
Just kidding. I love me some liberals. That's what they tell me at Fox News.
But take heart, almost the entire Tampa starting lineup is Spanish and we have 2 DSL teams.
