The Yankees have traded former top prospect Estevan Florial to the Cleveland Indiguardians. I wish we had seen more of Florial but, if he lands us a pitcher, I suppose that's a good thing.
Cody Morris, the pitcher we're getting, has pitched a total of 31.2 innings in the majors. That makes this is a "we''ll see."
In other news, I still want Jordan Montgomery back. I still want Montgomery never to be gone.
Montgomery and Hader would still make this an off-season of considerable, worthwhile improvement (if they manage to hang onto Soto).
ReplyDeleteBut you watch. They won't do it. Our rotation next year:
Cole
Cortes
Rotundo
Schmidt
Montas/minor leaguer of your choice
Not going anywhere with that.
I don't want Montes or Monty back. Montes stinks and Monty will regress to what he was before he left. Honestly the only moves this shit show of a franchise could make that would make me even slightly happy would be signing Soto to an extension (won't happen) or signing Hader.
ReplyDeleteWe definitely should sign Hader. He was so good in "Barry."
ReplyDeleteHow many prospects has the Cashgrab regime traded that actually turned into anything, Estrada and Duran? Maybe? I’m not worried about Florial coming back to bite us.
ReplyDeleteFlorial will never flourish-he can't hit the breaking ball and strikes out almost 40% of the time. Wherever he plays, he will never be more than a AAA player.
ReplyDeleteGood one, JM!
