I remember a time when root root rotting for the Yankees meant something. Not any more. Soon we'll all be expected to vape a Yankees cartridge and be feel better for it.
Cashman should be condemned to a never ending future of colonoscopies. One after another. No expectation on performing the procedures with clean/sterilized equipment. Just one after another.
I’m convinced Cashgrab only made the Soto deal because someone or something assured him Yamamoto was coming. When he didn’t he’s now a deer in headlights with no plan because there was never a lot of plan B options in the first place. None of the remaining free agent pitchers are potential game Changers and he’s terrified to trade what’s left of the prospects for a starter and fail. He’s backed into a corner now. No way he gives Jomo or Snell the contracts they want and he’s not trading Jones/Hampton et al for Beiber. Maybe if Burnes or Luzardo become an option for peanuts you’ll see them but otherwise it’ll be Warren and a press conference about how in shape Rondon looks
Jaraxle, I fear you are too kind to our Mr. Cashman. Really, this is a long-running con that gets more and more transparent and more and more desperate, the longer it goes on.
From what we know about their "pursuit" of YY, they were barely in it; at most, they were open to the idea if YY were open to taking the third highest bid, from the second best team. And if he had been...who knows what the Yankees might have said?
I know that acquiring Soto with no expectation that they can keep him and no plans for improving the rest of the team sounds crazy...but what about the Yankees has seemed rational for a long time now?

ReplyDeleteThe Intern is up to his usual dumpster diving again: more dreck for Scranton.
Can't have those pesky open roster spots lying around.
ReplyDeleteNext they'll say they don't have a roster spot available to sign a real pitcher.
Yankee management is a collection of total assholes.
They treat us - the fans - like shit, with contempt and arrogance.
ReplyDeleteWe are soylent green.
I thought Jackie Wilson said it was Reet Petite? No?
ReplyDeleteYup Horace he did. Actually, Jackie Wilson said:

ReplyDeleteYes it’s Cody Poteet last with Miami. The rotation is filling out nicely, like a starving Biafran
Yeah, but that's just because they're going to super-charge the bullpen...
ReplyDeleteMets paying Bader $10.5 mill. Guy can't even stay on the field.

Wishing we could manage ManCash's paychecks.
Such a shame that we can not.

I think Genius Cashman believes he is a relative of Andy Pettite.
