Nestor doesn't suck, but he's not really that good, either. Stroman is similar, and Rodon gives us no length, so we're at the mercy of the Santanas of the world. Who the Brain signed or traded for, so we'll suffer with them until it's clearly not feasible at all. Though they did come through last night. So what do I know.
LA starting pitcher comes from a dry county in arkan-sass. I have unfortunately been there. A lot of rice fields for cereal. No wonder I didn't like him.
An embarrassing loss as we see again the team can’t play with the big boys. Rizzo and Stanton in particular have been awful, especially Rizzo who should ask to be taken out of the lineup. Cortes could be headed to the pen. Without Soto, this team is like the ‘23 version, except another year older and slower.
Perhaps Gil can redeem us somewhat tomorrow; otherwise no need to watch, or even play. Bring on the Royals!

Feels like we're gonna choke. Nestor is the weakest link.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. I was thinking, with Schmidt and Cole not available, Gil is the only guy you can rely on.
ReplyDeleteLet’s hope Cole and Schmidt get back soon to some reasonable effectiveness, because Gill is not gonna last past 100 innings
ReplyDeleteAnother Gleyber bobble. Where is that guy's head?

ReplyDeleteMikey comes through in the clutch again.
ReplyDeleteIt feels a little bit like the Rangers vs. the Panthers. The Dodgers seem to be better, not by that much, but better.
ReplyDeleteWithout Soto, we aren't as good. It's too bad they decided to "treat" his injury at this point in time.
ReplyDeleteNice play, DJ.
ReplyDeleteWithout Soto, a two run deficit seems insurmountable. We've got a few guys at the top of the order, then crap.
ReplyDeleteWhere the hell did gulf of Tonkin come up with the fairy dust? I mean he's pretty much sucked until he got to the Yankees this year.
ReplyDeleteJM,
ReplyDeleteThis flashback has been been brought to you by the fact that Ca$hole dumpster dives instead of adding depth. It's who he is.
It's up to the kid now. Come on, little Tony.

ReplyDeleteShit
ReplyDeleteGulf of Tonkin is starting to grow on me. Sorta like vertigo, who I DEFINITELY did not want the Yankees to sign.
ReplyDeleteThis is the inning to come back, if they're going to.
No hits with runners in scoring position. We're sucking.
ReplyDeleteThis feels like 2023. Ish.
ReplyDeleteYes, futile at this point.
ReplyDeleteAnd burn the bullpen
ReplyDeleteGleyber must go!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Gleyber closes his eyes when he fields the ball. That can't be helpful.
ReplyDeleteFork
ReplyDeleteSee you guys tomorrow
ReplyDeleteWe rewatched Alien tonight. Which makes me realize that in the Bronx, apparently no one can hear you scream at Gleyber.
ReplyDeleteSantana is an embarrassment.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly we don't seem so good, do we?
ReplyDeleteApologies, Kahnle sucked.
ReplyDeleteWhat’s that smell coming from the Bronx?
ReplyDeleteI gotta say, Gulf of Tonkin has been a pleasant surprise. The rest...
ReplyDeleteGleyber’s brain seems to be in Nam…
ReplyDeleteOuff.

We're doing A League of Their Own for our next family movie night.
