It Just Seems As though....

We are Nebraska playing a home and home series against Ohio State. A bit overmatched and one sided.

Cincinnati has some talented players, but they have been an inconsistent team.  Every game against us, however, began with a TD bomb or a punt run back for a touchdown.

And the Big Plays went on and on.  When Marcus looked up to take a breath today, he was watching his third home run leave the park.  And it was still not the end of the fifth inning.

Let's not forget, Marcus has been surprisingly effective for the Yankees this season.  One of our best.

Something is more wrong than " this game will bite you, and " we're going through a rough patch."

  1. Hal is both cursed and an actual, living curse. In the same way that Jack the Ripper was both a guy doing evil things and also evil incarnate. 2009 was only a temporary reprieve made possible by George not quite being dead yet. George was a jerk and a lousy baseball man, but he wasn't cursed. So that one, final championship was still possible. Then, he was gone and nothing stood in the way of the cursed one, fueled by his hatred of all things important to his father.

You've seen The Omen. You've seen Rosemary's Baby. You've seen every vampire film made by Hammer. Evil never dies, it simply spawns sequels. If Peter Cushing was still alive, we might have a chance. But he's gone. And so are our chances of a World Series victory.

  4. Hey Kevin - JM forgot to include Amicus Productions, the Studio behind such classics as:

    Torture Garden (1967)
    Scream and Scream Again (1970)
The Mind of Mr. Soames (1970)
The House That Dripped Blood (1971)
    Tales from the Crypt (1972)
    Asylum (1972)
    The Vault of Horror (1973)
And Now the Screaming Starts! (1973)
    From Beyond the Grave (1974)
    Madhouse (1974)

I hear that Aaron Boone is still the manager of the Yankees.

Where’s a gigantic movie prop vat of boiling acid when you need one!

  5. Apologies but Fonzie, you are slightly incorrect.

The Yankees are Southwest Appalachian State College against Ohio State.

    Otherwise, spot on.
