Justice Department to consult Cashman in Russian spy swap

BREAKING _ The U.S. government, looking to cut a spy deal with Russia, has turned to the man who obtained Curtis Granderson.

Sources tell IT IS HIGH that Yankee exec Brian Cashman has been consulted in trade negotiations with the Russian government in hopes of getting the best deal for accused secret agent Anna Chapman, pictured right.

Cashman is said to have pulled Chapman from the table, offering the Russians instead slugging Scranton-Wilkes Barre first baseman Juan Miranda.

A scout tells IIH:
"America will really regret it if we deal her. I think she'll be a superstar. For starters, she's got 'Dancing With the Stars' already breathing hard. If we send her to Russia, it'll be the Ken Phelps/Jay Buhner trade all over again."

  1. Cashman will eventually trade her for someone with a really nice personality, but not much else going on.
