I am reminded today of the incident of Joba in Cleveland with a swarm of midges around his head, and never forgiving Joe Torre for not pulling his team of the field when it was apparent to everyone that chamberlain was completely freaked out by that attack.
I bring it up because when I look at the current Yankees lineup, they are fielding a AAA team with all the Covid restrictions. What I don’t understand is how Yankees management (such as it is) allowed these pivotal games to be played. They should have been postponed until the team was back at full strength.
And yet, no one in the Yankees hierarchy said boo.
A travesty.
And not only does this organization looked doomed this year, but I foresee a future decline the likes of which we haven’t seen since the late 60s. Icebergs ahead!

And Gardner batting second? If anyone on this blog ever again accuses the Yankees of relying in any way on analytics, I WILL SCREAM.
