...with this, but that pitcher we brought up to start yesterday looked good.
I will probably call him Shitlist for a while, just because I am bad with names.
And because that is a document upon which my name was often included. Just ask the principal of PS number 8 in Yonkers , NY, or many of the coaches whose team I was trying to make.
Seriously, the dude looked like he can pitch. It was one of the few times in memory that a touted prospect ( although his touting....minor league pitcher of the year ... was unbeknownst to me) has delivered, so to speak.
I would pencil him in for a start every fifth day right now.
Praise be to someone.

At least we are transparent about our Yonkers roots, Alphonso, although I won't put the PS number I attended in Yonkers on the web because they are still looking for me....
As for Los Yanquis, I remember when Joba was the new phenom. I remember the Three Amigos. I remember a lot of stuff. Let's see how much of this pancake sticks to the wall.
Back in the day, I went to P.S. 24 near the race track...
In my case, they wont find anything on me...
We were not far apart - back in the day...
I'm not from Yonkers but my family was inordinately fond of
Bo Sun - for Chinese
Carlos - for Italian
and Adventurers for everything else.

Adventurers before Nathan's took it over.
I remember going there...
We used to go to Luigi's on Central Avenue for Italian...
And for Chinese Hunan Villiage...
Who knows where the threads go?
Bo Sun was near the library. All three on Central Ave
This has all the making of a no-hitter tonight.
The 3B platoon of Vivas/Peraza might be the worst hitting one in the history of baseball.
Game.
You know, the Yankees weren’t no-hit once this season when DJ LeMahieu was on the team ….
Just sayin’
I’ll be at the stadium tomorrow. Someone on this team better hit something tomorrow night.
Is this a comeback or a tease?
This team loves to tease.
And the real question is … how early do I have to get to the stadium tomorrow to get a Billy Joel bobblehead?
It’s a comeback!
Oh well. Volpe falls short & now they’ll lose in extra innings.
The Scooter is looking down from Yankee heaven disgusted at that bunt.
Yankees Win!!!
It’s a Yankee Classic…
What’s the opposite of a pineapple?
…. but he’s thrilled at that slide by Volpe
I thought he was a dead duck - it was a nice slide.
This would have been an impressive WinWarble from The Master tonight.
Carlos...we didn't eat out much, but I remember the existence of Carlos. I was more familiar with the local pizza places and the delis.
I lost many quarters and years of my troubled youth to Adventurers and then Nathans.
Oh, absolutely. Would’ve shown up on the Richter-scale.
This old NY lotto commercial reminds me of BaBoone making excuses for Peraza and the team.

A real comebacker, just like they used to do…and in x innings!
Big props to Volpe on that slide. Pro play!
I remember that commercial! It was a good one.
Let's not forget Patricia Murphy's on central Avenue . For the big events.
