We Are Down To Two Choices

We have now passed on every meaningful free-agent from Manny to Dallas.

Even in the view of a pitching staff under collapse.

So we are down to this;

Choice 1.  Re-read El Duque's fourth paragraph.

If that becomes the truth ( high probability ) , and we don't win the world series as a direct result, I am simply going to drop baseball into the cellar.   And not pay attention.  And not care.  Hal, Brian, and all their catchy rhetoric can reside in my ass.  The Yankees will be dead to me because the game plan for the present will reflect the game plan for the future.  And I want no part of that.

Choice 2.  Play the hand we have.

This means we bring up Chance Adams and that lefty.  We wait for the return of Luis Severino and maybe Montgomery.  Dellin returns to make the  bullpen longer. A poker is stuck up the behind of Paxton and he pitches like someone worth money.

And the young kids, including Frazier, develop into stars in front of our eyes.  We win or lose, but at least that is a plan I can support.

But I will not be a part of a society where Hal Steinbrenner feeds his greed at our expense, and lies about it.

There is no justice.

Amen, indeed, Dauntless Leader.

I say we might as well let the kids develop. I promise to hold my ears whenever The Red Menace is whining.

Bumgarner will not be enough. The LAST thing we should do is now throw away the kids on him.

All we are saying, is give Chance a Chance. And Nestor, too.

Unfortunately, the closing of other pinstriped blogs seems to mean we have inherited the Pollyanna Brigade from them. What luck.

A message to our newfound brethren: On this blog, we're still rockin' in the free world.

If anything, I believe we're really getting too soft on Coops, who continues to give Kendrys—and no, ALL-CAPS, sad to say he is NOT as good as Stanton—one mind-numbing start after another.

Once again, Cashman can't seem to decide if this Yankees team is rebuilding or contending, so he goes for the demonic Mr. In-Between. Bad move.

But let's face it, even when it comes to his good moves over the past couple seasons, Coops has received almost divine intervention from the injury swans.

Had it not been for Drury's migraines and Neil Walker's timely tweak last season, The Gleyber might still be riding the pines, and Andujar might have been peddled for magic beans.

Same this year with Frazier, Estrada, and maybe Voit. And now he's back to throwing away key at-bats on an obviously washed-up ballplayer.

If he caps this off with a disastrous trade for a pitcher who won't even get us into the playoffs, he's the same old Coops to me.

What's the over/under on Sevy's return?

AMEN to all of you!
The DJ & Gio Miracle almost had me thinking this was our year, but starting pitching> starting pitching, urgggGGGggg, and they give us no assurances about Sevy, and no reason to believe it if they did. This has been a TREMENDOUS ride, truly inspired by these kids and their small ball and (there's no such thing as clutch) clutch performances ( DJ!!!!!!!). This has been the most fun I've had with this team in a decade, but I'm also pissed that Halitosis came up $hort ONCE AGAIN!

What's the over/under on Chien-Ming Wang?

Alphonso, speak it. Speak truth to power.

DJ, who is batting .491 with runners in scoring position, is not a clutch hitter because there aren't any.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

GOOD OL HOSS...

KENDRY'S HAS BEEN A DISASTER SO FAR....

....AND OF COURSE STANTON IS THE BETTER PLAYER OVERALL.

....BUT IN THE CLUTCH?

I HONESTLY DON'T SEE HOW YOU CAN BE WORSE THAN STANTON IS, IN THE CLUTCH.

I STAND BY MY STATEMENT, (ESPECIALLY AGAINST A RIGHT HANDER)....

In the clutch, both Morales and Stanton will fail. The only difference is; Morales will do it more slowly.
