Lots of people talking about the lack of Marinaccio and Schmidt on the roster. Why do we have lesser pitchers on the roster and better pitchers down in the minors?
Why do we have to have these guys who pitch only one inning at a time? The search for the most ineffective reliever, I think it's been called. If you have a couple of young starters on the roster, you can have a guy come in and pitch 3-4 innings if he's pitching well. That saves the one inning guys for another game.
Why do we play one guy short for a week at a time, instead of just putting an injured guy on the DL for 7 days and bringing somebody up who can at least pinch hit or play 5-6 innings in an extra inning affair?
It should be noted that as the Yanks have swooned, the RailRiders have risen. Hottest team in AAA since 1 July. Good comeback win over Buffalo yesterday. After a lackluster start, the RailRiders are in contention. Further evidence...though at this late date not much more is needed...that Brian Cashman's true talent is assembling an excellent AAA ball club. Cashman is a first ballot International League Hall of Famer, and may be the most successful AAA GM in modern baseball history. Move over Joe Biden and Dwight Schrute. Brian Cashman is Scranton's favorite son.
and to show even more Suckitude, next year will be worse; Cole 36M Stanton 32M Donaldson 21M Rizzo 16M [if he stays] Severino 15M] [if we exercise option] Hicks 10.25M
and no Judge
We probably won't see another WS in our lifetime.
This is worse than the Dead Zone of our youth from 1964 to 1976. Glad that age brings wisdom, cuz if I was the younger me I would have been bald at 20
@Publius, could very well be that Brainless is trying to win the AAA championship. So all these years, perhaps he was trying to win. Just not the right ball club.

It's not Abreau fault or Gallo's fault. They both suck. It's the idiot(s) who put them in wrong positions that they were not capable of succeeding in.
And truly - since I haven't seen this mentioned yet -
WHAT A SHAME BECAUSE NESTOR WAS TERRIFIC TODAY
WHAT A COLOSSAL WASTE.

They say everyone has a Doppelganger.
Scott Ferrel ( Sportscaster and former WFAN late night host) and Josh Donaldson are identical twins.
Or maybe I'm smoking too much high-THC dispensary weed. Decide for yourself.

I believe if you check carefully you will find that Joe Biden has already been moving over . . .

Lots of evidence for that precisely. Lots of explanatory power.
