Millwood, impressive in 2-inning start on Redsock farm, gets a new poem

Kevin Millwood, who wouldn't mill wood for the New York mill, could still mill Redsock wood, he could!

Last night, the Millman put the awe in Pawtucket, as turncoat Pete Abe puts it:

Kevin Millwood lasted only 2.2 innings in his first minor-league start for the Red Sox. The 36-year-old righthander, pitching for Class AAA Pawtucket, allowed four runs on five hits and two walks against Norfolk. He struck out three. Millwood has a 5.79 ERA in four starts in the minors for the Yankees and Red Sox this season. He has allowed 20 hits and 8 walks over 18.2 innings.

Welcome, Redsock fans, to the lost world of hope. In fact, in honor of your acquisition, we're redrafting AGAIN....

Kevin Millwood, the New Poem

In Pawtucket, well into manhood,
Sits our dear friend, Kevin Millwood.
He'll won't bring us poison pill-hood,
Or cause deep debt in dollar bill-hood.

In fact, we know he'll climb uphillhood,
As a Redsock... Kevin Millwood.
With those gems of old Brazilhood,
Tiant, Guapo... could be still good.

He won't fall, like Jack and Jill would,
Spawn corrections, like George Will should.
Win a game? Who knows, he still could!
Folks, he's all yours: Kevin Millwood!

I think Kevin Millwood was jealous of my wood and hacked into my account
