Aaron Judge hits a tailor-made double-play ball right at Rougned Odor, who attempts to field it by slipping to knee and trying to backhand it. Somehow, Judge is given a single.
David Cone: You see? Exit velo matters! That ball just ate up Odor.
A little later, Stanton gets a broken-bat, dying quail single that scores another run.
Cone: You see? That was the advantage of launch angle. Without his launch angle, that might have been a double-play.
Uh, yah. Without a broken bat, that was a big, lazy, Stanton flyout to center. And exit velo does matter. If you can hit the ball to Rougned Odor.
Orioles taking a page from the Yanks' day game-after-a-night game book.
Birds just mailing it in today. Though I know birds don't really mail things. They just sing and fly around. But they could still stop more balls than these guys.
Me likes LoCast (no relation to StatCast) - He freaks the defense out when he's on base - He is super fast AND he appears to be a very schmart runner. I say - keep 'em on the LoRoster!
And regarding Miggy: I think this is asinine. You have Joey Gallo still hitting like he is, Andujar hitting .347 in Triple-A...and the Yanks are planning to just peddle Miggy off somewhere for the usual magic beans?
Hell with that. I'm hoping for a temporary injury.

FFS…
The Yankees were cheaters also.
Amazing comments from David Cone today.

LoCastro was safe. You can't appeal calls now? I can't keep up with all the rule changes.
Sorry Hoss, he was just out...
Still think he was safe. But that O's runner was safe.
Looks like Green in the 8th and Rolaids in the 9th...sure fire way to lose a game...
Yeah, we need about 7 more runs.
Johnny Lasagna looking back to form, though. Wild movement on those last two pitches.

Nice to get another run. But another boffo at-bat from Joey.
Time to give Miggy a shot in left. Or at least at DH.
Miggy going back to Scranton...Hicks coming back tomorrow...smh
Maybe 5 more is enough...lol...
No Rolaids then...
You have to give Gallo credit - he is consistent. Struck out 3 times again today.
I'm beginning to think we ought to start betting on how many times he Ks if he manages to stay in New York all year. The number could be staggering.
Maraschino Cherry is pitching…
Didn’t see the game today (gasp) but was surprised Andujar didn’t play. I guess he’s lost all value in the team’s eyes.
For HC. appeal rule is still in effect, unchanged.
Curious to see how the offense will function away from their comfy homer domer.

Thanks, 999.
