Good Times Ahead

The babes and movie stars are already lining up to take advantage of my new found wealth. These two ( pictured ) wanted to share my chicken with rice down at the Cage Aux Folles cafe, last Tuesday night.

I am on the verge of becoming famous.

So I spent some time with my accountant yesterday, to discuss how I am going to invest/spend the riches soon due to me for taking the 11,000 - 1 odds that , between them, Ian and the near-sited Phil Hughes, would not have a Yankee victory between them by the All Star break.

I know I shouldn't count my chickens yet, but I have the following going for me now;

1. It will take Phil Hughes until post break to get back into shape for his usual September appearance. Everytime he sneezes, coughs or laughs, that rib keeps on crackin.

2. The flattering red framed spectacles he will need to see the catcher's signals ( see earlier Duque posting) have to be approved by the league....that could take another 4-6 weeks.

3. Ian Kennedy, in his state of depression, will likely jump on those " eat-a-thon " promotions now available at Scranton games and bulk up beyond Chris Britton sizes. My only concern here is that his new bride may not have planned on living in Scranton, when she signed on for the marriage.

4. Kei Igawa will undoubtedly be " lights out" now that he is fluent in English, and has gotten used to the ball size and mound height in American ballparks. All that remains is to rid himself of the rashes he gets when he powders his neck with the resin bag.

So count me confident. Count me future rich. I'll be able to buy a team in South Mexico, and Edwar and Sean Henn can be starters for me.

Free Greyhound travel for all my friends.

How many benjamins did you put on those odds? You're talking like the Duke of New York.

I have a farm in Africa, and I bet it.
