Yankees, riding high at .500, say, "See? I told ya so!"

They're the little team that believed. The pluck-filled Yankees, enjoying their underfunded, underdog status, are feeling pretty prime these days. Pretty pretty pretty prime. A bunch of knowitalls said this team was dead. But look: Riding tall at .500, with a two-game, rain-helped sweep in Swishertown.

Three in a row, baby. Three in a row.

Meanwhile, we won't have to worry about misspelling Greinke. Bum broke his collar in a brawl last night. Another reason for Hal and Hank to sit out the next free agent auction. By the way, here's how LA will be spelling Greinke: P.A.V.A.N.O.

Two rain outs. Climate change? In the future, teams might not need five starters. What's the news? Big doubleheader with the Tribe set for May! Trenton wins in eleven, with Slade Heathcott going three for five! If the season ended today, we'd be a half-game out of the AL East divisional crown, and a half-game out of the Wild Card. Plucky underdogs.

In the PAST teams needed only four starters. anyone remember Dobson, Cuellar, McNally, and Palmer?

Most of us old enough to remember four-man rotations are too old to actually remember anything.

Dobson, Cuellar, McNally, and Palmer? Wasn't that the law firm that BP hired to get them off the hook for the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Heathcott is only at AA?

"Three in a row, baby. Three in a row." . . . . Wow. How did you know they were going to turn a triple play? The Jason Nix Era.

Hey, I thought the closest they'd come to .500 all year was when they were 0-1. So I'm pretty excited.

And Mr. Duque, where is your post about last night's triple play? Or is mentioning it bad juju? I'm still learning these things, you know.
