Wait and see mode. Scan Monday, oncologist end of the week, with recommendation for chemo or to wait on it. She still hurts from the operation, but managing okay.
Nice booing of Hal and Brain. Can't imagine what the dugout felt like after watching Jeter make good Yankee history and knowing that they are part of the biggest collapse in baseball history.
Enjoyed the booing of Steinbrenner and Cashman. DJ seemed a bit taken aback by it - maybe he should stick around more. He did say we’d be seeing a lot more of him “real soon”. Hopefully in the GM office?
Way back in the wayback machine, I took reaction kinetics from a Sikh professor (complete with braided beard), the year after Bhopal. It was quite interesting in a non-sarcastic way (unusual for me, I know), but very informative. At least 40 different safety mechanisms that fail -- either by human or human induced failure.
I don't know why I think of Yankees management right now.
I did like that professor though. One of the best I had in Kolledge.
It's not enough that Hicks was pulled from the game. He should be DFA'ed as soon as the game ends. And someone in the management hierarchy is going to have to explain why one of the consistently worst players in baseball not only started this crucial game but was batting third.
Boone is just not that bright. If you were going to pull Hicks from the game--and he shouldn't have even started--then if you wanted to optimized your defense, you should put Florial in center, Judge in right, and Cabrera in left. The guy just doesn't THINK.
What went on with Hicks? Why does there have to be more. As if this finely engineered CAshBrain disaster of a season wasn't enough? Now there Hicks nonsense on Jeter Day.
Two of the worst defensive plays you've seen in a while, accompanied...or perhaps created...by as near an on field nervous breakdown as you'll ever see by a professional athlete.

Suit up Derek!
Sprinkle your Magic Captain Dust on all of the players and coaches and the Bubbleliscous Boonester.
TRUE STORY ALERT!!!!
My older iPhone use to auto correct Derek Jeter into Derek Heterosexual.
It was bizarre - I can tell you.
Suzyn says there's a lot of number 2s going on.
Ewwww.
Lineup is comically sad on Jeter day no less.... If I wer him I'd be absent
I can't watch. The litany of his greatness, the increasingly annoying bray of Michael Kay, the unappealing personality of Jeter himself (imo)...yuck.
JM - How's your wife doing?

Thanks for asking, AA!
No problem JM.
JM - keep us posted.

I'm only sorry I missed the booing.
Montas is really good at bouncing balls in front of the plate
I missed the top of the first. Home run?
Shit, Clank is playing first again.
Top1st: pair of doubles, JM. Franco and Arozarena.
I’m sorry. I can’t watch this. Once Judge is back in the dugout, all is lost. Though I will attend the funeral.
Montas sure is a big game pitcher, isn't he

Next, Union Carbide should sponsor a bhopal disaster at the Cashman house.

They really are terrible aren't they?
Good to see Montas is back on track. Just dandy.
@Beauregard…there is a song named that…

Judge struck out swinging. Again.
They really are bad aren't they

Quick Beau, think of something kind to say about the song Ranger_IP linked… its only polite…
Ranger, the lyrics were very easy to memorize.

@Beau...LOL...I know...it's not exactly Lou Monte...
Not sure what to say about the Hicks kerfuffle. Don’t be surprised if we hear some bullshit from Boone about a Hick’s injury after the game.
Stanton PH?
Stanton roundly booed.
For.
Good.
Reason.
Weak GO by Stanton.
I can’t take anymore of this, I gotta step away.
Earlier Michael Kay was talking about the Yankees getting through this period till their starters return from injury...
Like they will be better with Stanton and Donaldson.
Yeeeech.
They just don't want to win.
Now we know what 1978 felt like on the other side.
Gleyber trying to one-up Judge with the three run HR.
With one on...
Bronx cheers all around.

Gooseman.
And Publius is being kind.
Good to see we are losing all classy like.
Higgy hit one. Good for him.
Bye bye division.
It was an obvious lack of effort by Hicks, his head totally a million miles away.
Will Boone start him tomorrow?
Not lack of effort--lack of ability. He's old. He's done.
