Or not? He looks like a great guy. So does Judge, of course, but Babe... it would be like defeating your teddy bear. I don't know. He had his time. Live for today, right? Crush him.

Well, Suzyn, I thank you...

How are we in a position to clinch the division with what has to be one of the lamest collection of baseball players ever?
Who in this line-up, aside from Judge, approaches good much less great?
Trevino
Good, as a catcher
Hurrican Ian might do us all a favor and destroy that dump of a ballpark in the next few days.
We’ll, this game is officially over.
Trevino and IKF and Waldo.
This team is a travesty of a mockery of a sham.
Am I wrong to be already thinking, "Christ, how are we going to score two runs?"
What a pissant team.
You are not wrong, Mildred. Not one bit.
Intentional unintentional BB.
Hey!!!
The Master and Suzyn are bemoaning the way the Yankees leave men on base and don't get the runs in.
Donaldson and Stanton, back-to-back. How to kill a rally.
In 2023, NYYs will pay these 4 players (combined) a total of just a bit more than $100 million:
Stanton
Cole
Donaldson
Hicks
I find this extremely depressing. There's more in store.
Mildred -
Donaldson and Stanton, back-to-back in the middle of the lineup.
:(
Hicks anywhere in the lineup.
Bronx cheers.
I missed the first period. I was out getting Brador's.
How's it going so far?
When is Zoilo Almonte batting?
This is when a good team busts things open.
Anyone know where I can find a good team?
How many frogging times do we have to watch Rizo get thrown out on the bases?
Frogging is like frigging - it’s the amphibious version.
Bichette having a fun inning.
They walked Judge again? I'm shocked. Nobody wants to see Judge walked. Throw strikes you fuckers.
(Ring ring ring.)
Hello.
Hello. Is Mike Stanton home?
No he's out.
What again? It seems like he's always out.
Tell me about it.
If Hicks comes up with two outs, guaranteed Judge is leading off the next inning.
I can't get no....satisfaction.
I can't get no....satisfaction.
and I try, and I try, and I try and I try...
I can't get no
I can't get no
I can't get no
no no no
hey hey hey
that's what I say...
Walks again
It's insane to walk Judge every time. They walked him twice and he's come around to score both times.
Fuck this Nancy Sinatra bullshit.
Don't confuse Boots with Bootsy Bader
Wonder how many home runs the Gerrit Cole bobble head will give up on Friday night.
Bichette having a rough night.
Think...lol!
Hink, I mean
Hicks, great throw.
First, what a crafty play by IKF. Second, it’s nice to see other teams running into outs.
Stanton Strike Three (Stand By Me)
When your swing is long...
And you are all bark.
And a change up is a pitch you can not see.
The pitcher's not afraid.
No, no never afraid.
Cause he knows, that you'll swing... at strike three.
Woh...oh..oh.
Stanton strike three.
oh oh oh oh
Stanton strike three.
Yes he knows, you will swing, at strike three.
I'm touched, Doug. A tear in my eye.
This team is a travesty of a mockery of a sham.
Man, that's just Bananas.
I was hoping that Phelps, as a former teammate of Judge might groove one but alas he did not.
Why is Taillon still pitching?
Is no one up in the pen?
Miguel Andujar had a 3-run double today in Pittsburgh's 4-1 win.
Why are we in italics??
This is far too fancy for the likes of us!
The BJs are scum. Four walks—and of course we pitched to Impaler, Jr.
Idiotic. Each walk to Judge should've been followed by a ball in Vlady's ribs.
True, Winnie. But I feel that I am writing everything with a whole new emphasis.
Donaldson is simply an awful hitter, and the sooner he is off this ball club, the better.
If we were to go to bold, I bet we would also be more audacious than ever.
Stanton 1-16, with 10 Ks since the walk-off v. Pittsburgh.
This team has zero chance in the postseason.
One more time.... (with feelin')
Stanton Strike Three (Stand By Me)

Check that: 1-17, 11 strikeouts.
Wow. Playoff pitching is going to eat these guys alive.
Really a good-faith effort there, too, to get Judge another at-bat.
Doug,
Phelps was gone before Judge came up.
Looks like Ruth's record wont be broken...
Italics?
Are they from Italy?
He made all our comments slanted?
Ranger,
Well we were already biased.
Please, no ethnic jokes.
Boy, do I hate these guys. A fucking beer-league team, in attitude and fitness. This division was theirs to take, and they didn't do it. Wonder if they still have their home run jackets and all that crap?
Speaking of italics, do they still sell Vitalis?
All right, I'm starting it.
"THHHHH...."
Yankees Win!!!
We have the division.
"UUUUUHHHHHH..."
"YANKKEES! WIN!"
OK... At least there's that!!!!
The uduhudufufUHUHUHUHUHUHUH-UUHUUHUUH-UHHUHHUHH YANKKES WIN IN ITALICS !!!!
Judge has agita.
In the labonza.
Doug K. calls it. The most minimal and meager accomplishment!
I do t have anything constructive to add. I just want to see my name in italics.
Hey! The radio feed is running way behind!
If I was the team leader on the Yankees, I'd ignore the champagne and just take a shower.
50th first-place finish over the course of the long season, counting 1994, and the first-half, first-place finish in 1981.
50, in what is now 120 years of existence, and 50 out of the last, 102 seasons.
Not bad.
Judge is looking genuinely delighted. Which is nice.
But we only count rings.
And again: Fuck the Blue Jays. Games like this—'We're not particularly inspired to play hard, but we're going to make sure the guy everybody came to see doesn't get a shot'—are yet another nail in baseball's coffin.
Does nobody involved with baseball today understand that the money does NOT falleth like a gentle rain from heaven, but comes from the fans?
Well, I wouldn't call it a minimal accomplishment. In some ways, it's the most difficult accomplishment in sports, achieved as it is over the longest season there is.
Not as great an accomplishment as it used to be before divisions. But still very impressive.
Yeah well now we’re bold.
Fancy Schmancy Italics!
Officially, they're saying Yanks have 20 division titles since 1969, tying them for second with the Dodgers, 1 behind Atlanta.
These totals, though, do not count 1981, in which both the Yanks and the Bums won the first half "title," then mailed it in, in the second half.
I put it at a three-way tie, at 21.
Sorry guys....
I did this on my phone
And then fell asleep.
It looks like I hit into a bug in the blogspot site.
Congratulations to division winners Sterling, Waldman, and the Yankees. Judge did not beat Ruth, but neither did Ruth beat Judge. I’ll take it!
