He brought some of it on himself. Stupid lineup decisions, stupid pitching changes, stupid defensive alignments. Zero feel for the game. Lack of discipline. Lack of emphasis on fundamentals. Lack of backbone to stand up to Cashman and do what is obviously right. You wanna be a "Yes" man, you take your chances that your supervisor knows what he's doing and that he really does want to win.

He doesn't deserve pity. He's got one of the best jobs in baseball and gets paid well. Actually, he gets paid too much for the lack of talent he brings to that position. He might be the worst manager in my lifetime. He makes Stump Merrill look like Casey Stengel, Connie Mack and John McGraw all rolled into one.

Notice that unlike most well-run teams, the Yankees rarely to never bring up a catalyst from their minor league system to prove worthy of the promotion. No matter how highly touted he is. One failure after another.

The only way this team changes for the better is if their plane pulls a Corey Lidle with the entire Bloated Front Office and full roster and coaching staff. Hmmm, come to think of it, I do know a disreputable mechanic who works at La Guardia.

Then again we were actually ashamed of our bad play, there's guys just cash their big checks and free health care and post-meal spreads.

This is a terrible team, playing terribly. We all know the players who should be benched or DFAed. Preferably the latter. But you know it won't happen, because Cashman is an egotistical idiot.

It's just incredible. I knew this team wasn't what it appeared to be the first few months. But this...I never imagined this.

But don't feel TOO bad for Boone. As I mentioned in the last comments, he's a multi-millionaire, married to a former Playboy model with a heart of gold. I think he'll get by.
